The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey

Rating: 4/5 stars
☆★★★★

There have been 4 waves of the apocalypse. Now is the fifth wave -- the wave of aliens taking over the human race. You can't trust anyone because they've placed themselves inside the human population. You don't know who's who anymore. Cassie Sullivan has to use her intuition and trust friends to save her brother and herself from the fifth wave.

I really enjoyed this book! It was very fast-paced, and the characters were pretty lovable. One of them, though, annoyed me and I cant believe he is one of the main characters (Ben Parrish). I feel like they're going to date now (and maybe hopefully I'm wrong) and that is just going to be annoying.

I did like Evan and his little plot twist! He was really sweet. He really helped Cassie gain a sense of trust.

I'm not sure if I'll read the next one anytime soon, but I am interested in what happens next.

I'm a sucker for dystopian books. Also this isn't 5 stars because it was a bit annoying at some points and didn't capture my attention quite as much as most of my 5 star books!
