Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake

Rating: 2/5 stars
☆☆★★

"In every generation on the island of Fennbirn, a set of triplets is born—three queens, all equal heirs to the crown and each possessor of a coveted magic." Eventually, they have to fight to the death, and whoever wins becomes the real queen.

Thank goodness this book is finally over. This was a huge disappointment. Nothing really like the description. The first 75-80% is so slow and boring that I didn't care about the characters at all at the last parts. The big reveal wasn't expected but I didn't care enough to really be surprised and excited. :(

The romances are dull and annoying and I wanted to scream at Joseph the whole time for being such a stupid character.

I do feel bad for giving this such a small review and being so full of hate, but this really didn't meet my expectations. My expectations were a little high, but come on. This wasn't good at all. The only reason it's not 1 star is because I've actually somehow read books worse than this.
